Life is…
(Corporate life)
Life is that which I never live
Life is, to get up in the morning
Washing myself, using natural water
Though I pay for each drop every month
Eating food that I never grow
Bought from the ration on credit
I leave “my house” in the morning
Dressed neatly in cloths that I bought
Not by cash but in credit card
I travel by car that is on loan
That runs on fuel again from credit card
To the office that is not mine
To do the job that’s never mine
Yet depend on it for the livelihood
As it pays for all my needs
I spend the whole day in the office
For which somebody else pays the rent
I return to “my house” in the evening
That I leave empty half of my life
And spend my life paying EMIs to the bank
Life goes on…Life goes on as it always
And I think everything that I have is mine
And everyday is, a dream come true
But when the actual realization dawns
That I dream my life and forget to live the dream
Time will have no time for me to wait…
And I will depart from my life
